Article: A Whale Tail Wedding

A Whale Tail Wedding

Bride wearing bracelets

Weddings hold their magic in the in-between moments. The laughter with your bridal party, the quiet breath before the aisle, the small glances you remember long after the last toast.

Your accessories should do more than complete a look. They should become part of the memories themselves.

At Whale Tail Weaving, every piece begins with intention. We honor the tradition of Nantucket basketry while introducing fresh textures and thoughtful details. The result is jewelry that feels timeless and personal, designed to carry your story forward. For brides, grooms, and everyone celebrating beside them, our pieces offer a way to weave meaning into every moment.

From the Aisle to Every Moment That Follows

The right accessory stays with you long after the vows. A bracelet chosen for the aisle becomes the one you reach for during summer dinners on the Cape. Earrings worn on your wedding day reappear at anniversaries, holidays, and the quiet mornings in between.

Our collections are meant to be lived in; each wear is a small reminder of the day that started it all.

That connection is what draws so many to Whale Tail Weaving: pieces that feel at home on the coast but belong just as naturally at the heart of a celebration.

Woven jewelry on table

For brides dreaming of a Nantucket-inspired moment, our Whaler’s Wife Cuff and Nantucket Basket Earrings are forever favorites (as featured in Cape Cod Life). We work exclusively with materials chosen for their strength and soul–rattan, horn, leather– never synthetics.

Handwoven Accessories Designed To Be Worn, Gifted & Cherished

Sometimes it’s the smallest details that become the most meaningful: a nautical charm added to a bracelet, initials woven into a keepsake, or a woven keychain tucked inside a bridesmaid gift box. These little treasures have a way of staying with people.

This belief inspired our newest additions: woven barrettes and tie clips.

The barrette was imagined for the bride, a polished touch for an updo, quietly honoring woven tradition. The tie clip grew from the same place: something equally timeless for the groom, personal enough for the day yet versatile enough to wear long after.

Each piece is crafted with the same care as our cuffs and bangles. If you’re planning your wedding, we’d love to help you weave meaning into every detail.
